Lately God has
been teaching me so many things but one main thing He has been teaching me is
to give it your all literally. We always
hear that we have to give it our all. Do we listen? Do we understand what ALL
means? I don’t think that many of us do.
I know that I have brushed it aside many other times in the past. God doesn’t
want just what we want to give to him, he wants it ALL.
I’ve
noticed many times in my life especially in trials I have felt like I could
only give God some of my struggles or I would give God access to some parts of
my life, but not the ugly bad parts. I
only wanted God to help me with the good stuff, the easy stuff. God could help me when I was having trouble
with something that I could handle, but I would only allow him to help me when
I was supposed to allow him to completely take over.
God
says to give it your all. When I think about only give God some things, I find
myself thinking such stupid things. The devil places thoughts in my head “you can’t
handle all of this so God cant either. Only give him what he can handle.” For a
while I believed these lies. Who am I kidding? This is God. I can’t handle
everything but God can handle it all. God is an amazing God that wants to take
it all away.
Without
allowing God to have all areas of your life, He cannot fully use you. God needs to have all areas and work in all areas
to use you to further His kingdom. Allow God to come into your life in all
areas. Don’t just let God in the pretty places. God wants to get down and dirty
in all of it and help in every aspect. If we don’t allow him to go in all
areas, we will not be used to the fullest for Him.
